    Hopefully that settles it.

With 11 games, 6-wins obviously means winning season.

When CF went to a 12 game season the threshold should have been moved to 7-wins.

Having said that, I am thrilled Louisiana recovered enough to get itself bowl eligible under the current system.
The 6-6 rule does help the G5’s. Some g5 teams play 3 payday games and 1 fcs. So against peer competition can go 5-3 which is a pretty good season. On the flip side you have 6-6 P5’s playing 1fcs and 3 G5’s. That’s 4 wins a lot of times. Then they go 2-6 in conference and get a bowl.

Could probably fill 5 busses. Who wants to spend time in Shreveport?

If we don’t hitch a ride on the bus we’ll probably do the up and back in a day on our own.

Prediction: One bus quietly mentioned the week of the game with a threat of cancelation if not filled.

If done right they could fill 10 busses.

I was leaning towards skipping a Holgersen underwhelming bowl game effort but this matchup makes it hard for me to skip. My 2 favorite teams will force part of me to be sad but a part of me to be guaranteed a bowl win. Last year was so good with 25 wins between the 2 teams but disappointing this year. Unfortunately it seems the offensive play calling is questionable for both teams. Hoping for great weather and a chance to have some fun.

I rode the bus last year and talked to the bus driver. He said he came from Lake Charles because there were no busses available in Lafayette. They were all taken by the band, cheerleaders, etc, etc. we were lucky we got that one. When we got to the bus parking area, sure enough, there were about a dozen busses. Our 1 bus was totally full and sold out quickly.

Looked into team hotels for Indy.

Sam's Town Hotel and Hilton Convention Center were used last year.

Whatever bowl calls, just say yes.

Meanwhile Southern Cal blows a 14 point lead to lose the PAC-12 championship 47-24 to Utah. Think the PAC-12 is out the CFP picture.

I would like to catch a bus, because if I don't I will have to drive alone and it is a boring (but easy) drive to Shreveport. Having said that. if we are at the Indy, I will probably go regardless and roundtrip it. I did enjoy both bus trips I took; one to the ULM game (except for the game itself) and one to the bowl game last year.
