I know a track coach with the initials MT that would give Skeeter a run for his money.

As of today (11/23/22), there are 76 teams with 6+ wins in CFP division. There are 82 bowl slots. 16 teams are sitting on 5 wins going into this weekend. Here's what's on tap (teams with 5 wins on the left):

    GaSo vs App St. x
    USM vs ULM
    UL vs Tx St.
    GaTech vs GA x
    MIA vs Pitt x
    MSU vs Penn St. x
    FAU vs WKU x
    Rice vs UNT x
    UAB vs LaTech
    UTEP vs UTSA x
Army vs UMASS & NAVY (need to win both) x
    NMSU vs Liberty x
    Missou vs Arkansas x
    VANDY vs Tennessee x
    Auburn vs BAMA x
    Buffalo vs Kent St.

I placed an (x) next to the games that I believe are unwinnable for the 5-win team. Thoughts? And HAPPY THANKSGIVING, guys. Geaux Cajuns

In the Georgia Southern App State game, both teams are in a must-win situation. Only one will become bowl eligible. App has two FCS wins on their resume. They were supposed to play Marshal before Marshall joined the league. Neither team was able to find an FBS opponent.

Mel, I thought an FCS win still counted as a D-1 win and was acceptable for bowl-eligibility.

Only one counts toward bowl eligibility. Army is in the same situation as App State. Marshall is already at seven wins, so they are bowl eligible. That is why New Mexico State played Liberty home and away a couple of years ago.

Marshall and App should have done a Home and Home in the same season.
