If rose bowl or sugar bowl gets a replacement team if the conf champ normally associated with that bowl goes to a CFP semi, (i.e. if michigan wins big ten and goes to cfp, ohio state could replace them in rose bowl, if rose bowl wasnt a semi) why then didnt a g5 champ get to replace Cincinnati in one of last years NY6 games?

Speaking of which sucks that Tulane will get the access bowl slot with 2 losses and even if we beat Texas last year and go undefeated we still wouldn't have got it

There’s maybe 20,000 there for a championship game between 2 ranked teams to get to a ny6 bowl. Looks good because it’s a high school stadium.
