They're only against locating it away from downtown.

I guess you’d have to tear down much of downtown and adjacent neighborhoods to build it there.

Seems it would be tough to fit downtown.

Plus unless things have changed over the past 10 years, I'm not sure parents would care to have their elementary school aged children's dance recitals being in that area unless guaranteed to all end before 10PM.
