When you make everything about money....

Last night on the Ragin Review postgame pod episode, I used the Raising Canes analogy. Raising Canes sells chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. That's their menu. But what creates demand and a long line stretching out to the main road there are three simple traits:1) Great Quality 2) Affordability 3) Consistency

From what I have heard from fans, the feedback I get is the tickets are too expensive; the lines to concessions are too long; and the games lack enthusiasm and energy. So all three of those traits are missing. Until we get those three things right and market it to the community consistently, we will continue to have crowds of 10-15k.

And don't forget the parking hassles (ingrained in consciousness) for the potential walk-up fan who isn't a season ticket holder - with plenty of availability inside the gates.

The tailgating thing is what gets me the most..

It's obviously not working but they're acting like the real estate is inventory. Which I get; you have to bring in revenue somehow. Especially when donors aren't donor'ing. But at some point, you have to evolve, adjust and accommodate people. You can't just look at the inventory and refuse to negotiate on price. There is a reason every retail store has a clearance rack.

Change the model. Give some spots away. Lower the RV prices to get more people interested. (You want 7 RVs at 3k a year or 70 RVs at $300 a year: Optics matter)
We will never get consistent crowds back until we fix the tailgate situation.

The 7 vs 70 RV analogy is what Ive been saying recently. We need more fans at the game for a lower price. Like you said, optics. But also much improved atmosphere. If we get to the point where demand our paces supply, THEN bump up prices; but do it incrementally.

I'm not advocating for this but I'm wondering.. If we kept everything the way it is but lifted the 'no re-entry' policy, would the 'fun' come back? The interest? The tailgating?

I would like the destination to be "Cajun Basin" with the game at The Swamp being the main attraction.

As long as they come to Cajun Basin with the freedom to move around, the potential to grow the fan base is unlimited.

I doubt it. That ship has sailed. The casual fans are aren’t going to the games anymore. It’s too easy to sit at home and stream the game.

There is a never ending crop of potential fans, "that ship" sails for individuals but in reality it NEVER sails.

So the stadium renovation is not happening. What a bad look. Silence from the admin when everyone is asking. We were told it would happen at end of 2021 season then we were told it would happen at end of 2022 season. Total silence now.

This has a tremendous impact on the perception of this Football Program across the board and displays ineptitude on a magnificent scale. It matters to the fans. Not sure what else can be said. The "small time" effect is killing this program. People don't want this.

3. Interest rates have increased the carrying costs.

4. Everybody decided to stay home this season so revenue from attendance is down.

5. Constant _____ing about head coach hire.

And you guys want an announcement to start CF renovations . . .
