Louisiana football hosts the Georgia Southern Eagles on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in its final home game of the season at Cajun Field.
The Ragin' Cajuns (4-5, 2-4 SBC) are looking to bounce back after a 23-17 defeat to Troy last Saturday. Louisiana enters the week ranked third among FBS schools with 14 interceptions on the season. Eleven different Ragin' Cajuns have recorded a pick this season, the most of any team in the country.
Bralen Trahan has been a ballhawk for the defense as the senior has four interceptions on the season, trailing seven FBS players for the nation's lead at five. For his career, Trahan has 13 interceptions, which is tied for the most among career active leaders in FBS and ranks fourth all-time in Louisiana history.
Zi'Yon Hill-Green is 0.5 sacks away from tying the school record for most sacks in a career. Sitting at 20.5, the New Iberia, Louisiana, native is tied for 11th among active leaders in the NCAA.
Georgia Southern (5-4, 2-3 SBC) is led offensively by quarterback Kyle Vantrease, who has thrown for 20 touchdowns and 2,982 yards. Defensively, Marques Watson-Trent paces the team with 81 tackles while Justin Ellis has a team-high 3.5 sacks.
Thursday's contest is the sixth meeting all-time with Louisiana holding a 4-1 advantage. The Ragin' Cajuns have won the last three meetings.
