Back to this question: there is gonna be a number in the box score tomorrow next to attendance that is a number we ultimately don’t want to see. We CANNOT look at that number, throw up our hands, and say “we told you so. You wanted us to promote. We promoted and still only got x”

There have been 10 months since last season ended. We have acted like we care for 2 days. This needs to be the new standard. Judging the worthiness of our promotions off of this one number would be like eating Big Macs every day for 10 months, eating salads for 2 days, stepping on the scale, and losing motivation when you don’t see the number you want.

The effort is there now by the admin. If we can get 15K I say that’s good for a Thursday night. The admin needs to do
This for every game. Let’s not be disappointed if the crowd is not what we think it should be. Let’s be appreciative that finally someone in the admin is promoting the game to the students and everyone.
Hopefully this is the standard going forward. We cannot take a sit on our hands approach. We have to be aggressive in our marketing of the games.

If basketball turns out as good as the predictions I look for this to continue to pack the Cajun dome.

Serious question here, what do y’all think would be the attendance if this team hadn’t ______ed away the ULM, USA and Troy games? If we were 7-2 going into tomorrow night with this kind of promotion?

I’d say we would have 25-28k in attendance.

While I appreciate the effort shown this week, this needs to be the effort we see every home game. We don't have the luxury of expecting people to just show up to home games. You have to market, market, and market some more. Then when they do come, you give them the best experience possible. This is basic knowledge and should be in place already.
