I don’t believe this is anything more than getting recognized for doing a good thing. That’s no little thing regardless of the motivation.
My former employer used to get gobbs of praise for community outreach. The outreach was employees being leveraged into giving up a day of their weekend time off to make this regional Vice president look good. Ultimately that’s between him and God. Does being leveraged diminish the labor given by employees. Not IMO.
Service isn’t about recognition, or bragging about it.
Marketing is about “hitting up schools and getting the name out is huge.” Polish that however you want for your own use.
As someone previously pointed out UL easliy surpasses our conference mates in community service. It's one thing our cULture gets right.
Again, service is not about me, but thee.
Uhhh, if capturing the kids early is the mission, the kids were there…in the room with the players. The kids didn’t need a social media post to make it real.
If it wasn't about promotion UL would never have mentioned that any sport did it at any level.
The whole idea is community goodwill, with as many finding out as possible.
