Half the excitement of being a part of a school like ours is building more with less! My posts are obviously not just directed at the banner. I’m the first one to point out here all the things we failed to capitalize on after our greatest season, however I do think we are getting to a point where we are doing more harm than good getting angry or frustrated, especially not helping ourselves to get more people on the UL bandwagon train!

I literally went off on a tangent the other day about not supporting UL with a couple coworkers that were discussing the great time they had at the A&M/Bama game. Not the way to get the casuals on board, need to find positive ways.

Going to move on with my day by stating a few positive things:

-Our football team is improving (coaching!!!!!)

-We have some really good podcasts (RR is my postgame goto), never had anything close to this good to listen to for our games! I now look forward to our postgame!

-We have a stable and growing conference and for the first time in
20+ years I’m excited and proud to be a member of the Sun Belt Conference! No more where should we move to talk!!!!!!

    Have a great weekend!

    Geaux Cajuns!
    Good stuff sir.

I am actually pumped up about our SBC membership as well. Not in a 100 years would I ever think I would say that.

They wouldn't look half as good as the printed banners hanging in the IPF, but they would be easy to read.

Yeah UV rays are tough on the banner.

I made a banner for Rhett Hebert's car wash in Abbeville and it lasted 2 years.

The vinyl letters on a hard substrate will last much longer. Sometimes up to 20 years or more outdoors.

You can get a customized 3' x 6' heavy duty polyurathane Cintas type rug made at one of the local janitorial supply places with the SBC decals as is the one in the practice facility for 300 dollars. There is no excuse to not have a banner hanging for last year's team.

I coached Rhett many moons ago when he was bouncing around between baseball, basketball and tennis. He could have played basketball and tennis at UL if he wanted to, he was that good. Trivia for you. BeauCajun and Rhett are family.

When I don't reply to a post you make trying to contradict me in the future. It doesn't mean you win. It just means the post is too worthless, rhetorical & argumentative to reply to. TIA

One would think a RCAF staff member with something on the ball could have had the mental fortitude to hold a raffle & send invitations to members as well as former members for 5 dollars a piece to win their own SBC championship banner rug to throw on their floor, or office floor. The winner would also be recognized before a homecoming game & help unveil the official championship banner. A portion of the extra proceeds above the cost of the banners would go to the stadium update project. But what the ____ do I know?

Oh when you talk out of two sides of your mouth and get caught? $50 and $300 is a huge difference.

As dumb as your statement is, It might hold water at this point in the game. But IF we had anybody who gave a rat fart in the administration/RCAF, they could have struck while the iron was hot in January & run the raffle all the way thru August. Then done the ceremony at the homecoming game this past season. IF ONLY
