12 of 27 from 3 last night which is over 40 percent. A few of the misses looked like they were going down before spinning out. 6 different guys hit a three. Now, granted this was against weak competition, most were wide open due to good passing, and there was little pressure like you would see in a tight game. Still, it indicates 3 point shooting might be OK.

Let's wait and see when they play someone with a pulse.

His numbers at Ole Miss will not be good. But he got paid and graduated so good for him. Basketball wise, it was not the best of moves for him.

The pulse begins Friday night, not that it is a strong pulse but it will be quite better than Centenary, although the Gents were picked 4th out of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and will be a pretty tough out in that conference, the SCAC is a D3 conference.

Harvard is coming off of a 13-13 record last year and is 1-0 with a very narrow victory vs Morehouse College. Morehouse plays D2 ball and almost pulled off a big upset vs Harvard in a game that ended 68-63 with the Crimson pulling it out. Harvard had a huge lead in the 1st half being up 47-27, but then was outscored 36-21 in the 2nd half to make it a really close game. With roughly a minute to go in the game it was a 4 point game.

The crazy thing about this, was Harvard traveled to Morehouse/Atlanta to play them. I guess they chose not to go home and then go from Atlanta to Asheville for the tournament this weekend, it is only a 3-1/2 hour drive from Atlanta to Asheville. I am very interested to see how we perform vs Harvard/ETSU and/or Elon as these teams are not the best, but will give us a very good idea of how this team will perform in conference play as these teams should be very similar to what we might see in the SBC.

It's been over 30 years and I still can't decide which Freshman year was my favorite.

Good analysis there Dave. Note Morehouse went to Harvard last year. Appears this was a home and home. Strange for a D1 to do that with a D2. However they are near Atlanta and virtually every airport flies there directly. May have been a factor. Harvard would have to find things to do for 3 days before going to Asheville as that game is not until Friday.

I’d bet a Cajun Dome beer that they flew from Atlanta to a very nice Asheville airport.

What’s it take for y’all to renew Bob Marlin contract for 3 years with a UL option for a 4th & 5th after the third year.

Nothing can get me to do it

    A sweet sixteen appearance

    A round of 32

Win the regular season and tournament

    Win the tournament

3 days in Asheville...visit Biltmore, scrub out some graphity, and maybe help fix one of the numerous homeless camps...Asheville is a liberals paradise, as I hear Harvard is as well...
