With halftime and 2 full quarters of basketball plus a 30 minute break between games, I don’t see us losing our shirts with people willing to show up 2 hours early just to get free Cajuns basketball.
Why can't they just do it like before? Get into the women's game free with a ticket to the men's game on those double header days.

Not fully comprehending the free ticket thing, it will kill future efforts to monetize. A super cheap database building entry system for VB and WBB would be preferable.

Since it is what it is . reward the diehards.

Show up for the women's game in the first half (for free) and earn a ticket to the men's game.

In order to enter at halftime (or later) of the women's game, you will need a ticket to the men's game.

Besides if you were there all night for both games (for free) they probably got you on concessions.

Our brilliant marketing department at work. Who could have foreseen the problems this would create. We are surrounded by incompetence.

This is how it should be handled. And if you notice a larger than usual WBB crowd, just ask that people in attendance move to section ____ for free MBB seats or be subject to ticket checks by Cajundome staff to make sure no one's season ticket spot is being used.

That was my point as well. Who cares if a few hundred people get into a 12,000 seat capacity venue for free, sitting with the 1-2k people that did pay?

IMO it is an easy win-win for UL and the Cajundome. So what if that means 1000 people go to a women's game so they can get into the men's game free? Who loses? Nobody.

Let's call it our 3 game experiment; there are only 3 double headers left, all in February.

This is a good idea as well. Then it gives everyone a visual, of the numbers and their involvment in the game.

Good post. Those freebie seekers wouldn't have bought tickets to the men's game, anyway. Might as well have them in the dome and cheering.

If you can get the freebie seekers to get out the few season ticket holders’ seats we have left and have them sit in the freebie section, it could work.

  10. UL 1984, 1999 . . . . Re: MBB>||||<WBB

I’m too old and too ill to go to the games very often these days , but I never cared how you got in. It’s okay as long as you cheered for the Cajuns and didn’t make a stink when asked to move by the seat owners.

How about men start at 6:00 on DH nights and women play after. Stay for free if you want or you’re allowed to show up once the mens game is over to watch women for free.

Nice idea, and it doesn’t cost a cent.

You’d probably get more fans to stay for the ladies I would think.

Men aren’t starting at 4:00. That’s why they’re free, and nobody is starting after 8:30
