Thread: GIVE HIM THE KEYS, NOW

If they’re equal or better play um. Universities aren’t guaranteed another year much less a 4th on any player. Don’t save a red shirt for another school.

If he plays now and leads us to a Bowl, all of the negatives of this season will be forgotten. This is an excellent opportunity to hit the reset button for the HC and this program.
So you would throw the kid out to the wolves without a decent offensive line to help protect him? This is not sound policy, especially with FSU still on the schedule.

Perry has one more and still be able to keep his red shirt.
In today's football environment, are we even worried about the red shirt anymore? Do you guys see players, moving forward, staying around at universities for more than 4 years with their ability to jump around? I don't I wouldn't even worry about the redshirt because you won't know what the roster looks like in 2 years much less 4.

2 years? You never know from season to season.

We still may not have a decent O line next year so why not see what he can do.

There is a reason he hasn't won the job yet. Obviously the coaches don’t think he’s the best option. Coaches would be stupid if they start burning red shirts assuming that every kid from here on out will transfer so you just as well play them all. Would be horrible for your future. Got to continue to make red shirt decisions as you always did on what’s best for your team assuming you have that kid for his career. Because you have no clue who will and will not transfer.

This does not sound like you, BWK. This is not the same guy who called in to RR after the USM game. That guy would be giving you the business over your last comment.

What has the coaching staff done this year to make you think they actually know what they’re doing? I’m kinda kidding but not really.

Right now the QB spot is a death trap for whoever is at the helm. When Billy put Levy in, he had three future NFL players on the line to help him out. He had a great running game as well with a couple of future NFL backs. Playing this guy right now, might push him into wanting to transfer more than letting him sit. There is another game after FSU for Chriss to get a chance to play.

The bottom line is as bad as the OL has been. We are a FG kicker and solid special teams execution from being 7-2.

How do we not have a guy who is near automatic from 45 yards in. Or a deep snapper who won’t mess up. Fix those two issues and we beat ULM, USA and Troy.

Curious to see if the Special Teams coach will be retained after the season.
