USM was horrible concessions, the only part of the stadium that is decent are the suites, there are rows that dead end into walls, baths look like they were out of a prison, the outside band was horrible, even the students which were right across the sidewalk wouldn't cross it to listen. I say this and I have a student at USM whose boyfriend has been in the media there since he was a freshman, and they both agreed that their stadium is horrible and in need of upgrades and that the administration sold out to the boosters on the renovations and ignored the rest of the stadium and that the tornado money was horribly mispent on the "reapirs to the stadium"
wasn't enough room on the plane . . .
You seem more familiar with their program than most but I tend to agree with the previous poster about their gameday experience being much better than Cajun Field .
It was more of the presentation on the scoreboard , PA, audio, in game music selection, etc. It just had a more polished “big time” feel to it . Plus the aisle/ seat spacing wasn’t nearly as cramped as they are at Cajun Field
Regarding concessions-Cajun Field’s beer game is much much better. Way Better selection and better pricing
I'll take me and my crew in game experiance at USM over anything the Cajuns have done. Long lines, alienating fans and student, no fans, terrible music selection roping off the 50 yard line for students but telling them they can't sit there and it goes on and on. Don't get me wrong I'm 100% Cajun I and my crew felt that USM did a better job keeping fans engaged.
The experience was night and day. USM felt like an old SEC stadium, you could feel the history and tradition as soon as you walk in.
The concession lines moved very fast and the beer was cold. The bathrooms had the radio broadcast on and there was a trough for me to pee in. Nothing to complain about.
In-game production was about as good as it gets. Maybe only App does it better in the conference.
