This whole P5 thing and G5 thing will be done in 2025. It was created when the G5 got an auto bid for a NY6 to keep the G5 at bay. Now in 2025 there are 6 top ranked conference champs auto bids to the CFP plus 6 at large which will pretty much end(or at least it should) the conference classification of P5 vs G5. If your team plays FBS football then you at least have a shot at the CFP.

1.3 mil will not be a lot of money for 2027. heck, its probably a below-average payout for 2022. why are we selling ourselves cheap, if we not getting a home game in return? maybe it's apart of a two A5 teams on the schedule every couple of years philosophy change to make more money?

UCF is one of those teams that was a standout at G5 level but will potentially struggle at a P5 level. This will likely be a very winnable game. I'll take a $1.3 mln payout for that any day.

I would prefer to view most teams in the country outside the top 15 as winnable in a few years from now and still get paid above average payouts if we not getting home and home deals. no need to settle for less.

Good luck. Nobody these days gets the cake and gets to eat it also.

should we look around the Sun Belt and test that ? you might be surprised at the "nobodies" in our conference alone

$1.3 mil is not a lot in 2022 but it is if it is coming from a current G5.

I would never do a money game with a G5 but by 2027 if UCF is in a P5 no one will remember they were G5 when the deal was made. They will only say UCF got off cheap.
