I support ending all ties to racist people and programs from former KKK members of yesterday to Affirmative Action/Equity/Diversity programs of today.

I do not support racism, at all.

That is the goal. Better than the poster on this site who called us the University of Lafayette.

Most if not all people do not know or care who and why the building were named what their named. Its only a select few "WOKE" idiots who want to stir the pot in the name of some BS perceived social injustice. Sick and tired of this. I truly hope the administration has a backbone and leaves these names alone and focus on things that matter not some liberal with hurt feelings.

Guys, none of this is ambivalent.

It's very simple. Is there an agenda from a select few? Yes. Should those buildings have their name changed? I think there is a conversation there to be had. Are TJoe and JLL about to fork out the money to make these very expensive changes? Absolutely not.

I think B4H's explanation of how this "article" should be digested was 100% accurate.

I’m guessing the Supreme Court will slap down government sponsored racism next spring.

    I believe that will happen.

Diversity is just another name for quotes. Some say you can’t use grades and standardized test scores because they’re culturally bias. Yeah you know 2+2 =4 is a race and culture thing.

This will not be touched by the courts. Besides, we have much more important things to spend money on which would actually benefit those claiming harm from this than spendoing the money on cost to change the names.

No court will or should get involved. This is an internal matter between the citizens(students & faculty of the school and the school. Frankly I can’t imagine this being a back breaking budget busting issue. What were there about 8 names.

If Mouton is named after the Mouton family, are all Moutons now considered outcasts because one or more of them were humbugs. Madison is not on list. But I’m sure he was related to some trashy Madisons. Same for Murphy. His later relative was a very good governor. Name it after the family.
