Not gonna happen.
You can forget about a full speed scrimmage in D1 football once the season starts and especially at this point of the season. Just isnt gonna happen. Hell that dont happen at the high school level. Maybe if a coach is pizzed off and uses it as a form of discipline but other than that you can forget it

Didn’t realize softball players wore shells at practice. Learn something new every day

You can believe that is you choose to. I can tell you that isn't the case. And we can sit here & challenge each other for sources from now until Jesus comes back, but the fact is there are plenty of teams which will have some full contact practice during the week & plenty who won't case in point Kansas State & OSU. Two very comparable teams talent wise, but at some point last week KSU held some fully padded practices where those guys went at it & OSU didn't. Come game day there wasn't a doubt in the world who was more prepared for that game.

Fully padded pull contact practice doesn't have to be a scrimmage per say, but you can bet there are some who are practicing hitting & getting hit.

No me and my buddies are the bad luck on the road, we've been to several road games and only witness one victory S. Alabama last year.

Sorry, had to revisit this post. So Think about what you just wrote. Fully padded practices where guys actually hit each other & block & tackle to get ready for a game are considered punishment? I thought grass drills, or gassers, running the stadium steps were punishment. I didn't realize getting to do the very thing you go out for in football was now a punishment. No wonder guys don't want to have contact & play hard in games any more. The only reason they have games is to punish the players. Makes perfect sense if I'm watching the NFL & half the teams in college football today.
