I don't give flying flip how we got to Hattiesburg, we left any semblance of a physical attitude at home. I don't care if they thought hot air balloon was the way to go. Bring a punch them in the face approach & keep punching them in the face. Because if you don't, then what took place will take place again next season, the season after & on & on & on no matter where the game is played.
If anyone had forgotten your original post they would know you’re speaking the truth. It was about attitude being superior. It morphed into planes, buses and trains none of which you commented on except to say the team needed a blue collar attitude like busing to work not a jet setter attitude.

You know I've never seen a commercial aircraft play offense and I've never seen a bus play defense in a college football game. I was in California for work, watched the game from my hotel, and what I saw was a team that failed to execute.

We got an interception on the first play of the game and came away with zero points. From there we gave up a chunk of points before we decided to play football. Credit to Southern Miss, they attacked our o-line and this unit struggled to pass block for Ben. He was rattled and it showed in the interceptions and missed receivers. Whether CF or BW plays at QB I think we see the same result. I'm no coach but I think we could benefit from packages with LL2 under center for a change of pace. This team can still get bowl eligible. It's going to take hard work from players and coaches. A bus or plane won't get it done.

No one wants the POWER of the BUS because they fear getting thrown under the bus.

Without a blue collar attitude we get run out of the stadium before the half, but we didn’t. We stayed in the game and kept shooting ourselves in the foot. We were still in it with 5 minutes to go after 4 turnovers and 0-5 on 4th down. This supposed jet setter attitude is bullsht. USM defense is giving up 360 yards a game…that’s AFTER we put 470
On them. We moved the ball on them like nobody else has but you can’t give someone the ball 9 times without flipping the field and expect to win. Our offense hasn’t been physical all year and people think we were going to run it down a teams throat that held 2 teams to negative rushing yards this year?

Louisiana has been a second half feam, all year. (mostly)

This is about not being ready at kickoff.

I never excluded great individual plays .... but they didn't know what to do with the gifted ball.

I concede the bus isn't the be-all and end-all on last minute short week preparedness.

The opposite happened at the end of the Rice game where they had a whole week, and a bus ride to prep.

Early in the Rice game the offense still wasn't ready to handle the defensive gifts. So there's no magic bus ride.

ps Either that or someone forgot to load the water hose.

Besides this bus thing being idiotic, it is insulting. It implies, hell it says, that they didn't try hard due to some assumed superiority. Despite ZERO evidence of this. The team played hard to the final snap, and nearly pulled off the comeback. They played poorly at times, and a bunch of those times were on plays that could have changed the outcome. However to say they lost this game due to flying there because it made them feel superior is without merit, insulting, and frankly stupid. They have a lot to fix right now, but from what I saw it's not effort. Theories like this bus vs plane thing come from people who have no idea what they are talking about but THINK they do. They can't correctly analyze the situation, so they grasp onto dumb ____ like this.
