As noted in the game thread, glad CMD let BW finish. We didn’t need to risk CF unnecessary or for that matter ZC. Ben looked flustered most of the night. Rarely had time in the pocket to be comfortable. But he missed a lot of throws last night. He’s either going to learn from that and progress, or might not see the field much if CF is really healthy enough to carry the load.

QB last night was completely different than last game. Ben looked like more nervous than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Bad throws and bad catches by the receivers. Everyone just needed to slow down and get back to basics. Catch and throw with efficiency then move onto cutie plays. Cannot understand the lack of urgency when down multiple scores and the QB run (that play was illogical).

I'm not going to fault Ben too much, yes he made a lot of bad throws but my goodness the offensive line was absolutely horrendous last night. Pressured all night long.

One complaint I have is why haven't we run ben more? He brought a spark to our offense against marshall doing this

I can't remember one, planned QB draw....but I didn't see every play, it was too painful. I didn't see LL2 in the wildcat either, unless I missed it. I guarantee, he's a better passer than Gore.

Are you suggesting that had Chandler played this outcome would have been any different? Because if that is your suggestion, we didn't watch the same game. USM handed us a good old fashioned butt kicking in every phase of the game. We could have had Drew Brees out there & the way we coached & played as a team from the top down & the bottom up was wretched. And yet, we still had a chance to tie the game up & send it to over time. That tells me that this is a potentially great team that has no idea what mental toughness is. They better learn soon. Or they will be back the same old usl.

Look, for all the complaints he got on here, we were spoiled for three years with a QB who rarely turned over the ball.

Regardless of who the starter is this season, due to lack of experience, a 3 INT game was bound to happen once.

Also, keep in mind, we can’t run the damn ball. Southern Miss was able to pin the ears back and focus on getting after the QB because they had no real fear of a running game.

Does the interception for the extra point count as an interception. If not it should, but I guess the passes don’t count in the completion, incompletion stats either. Regardless it was an interception and damned lucky it wasn’t a two point play going the other direction.
