Most high school coaches have no idea how to get a kid promoted unless they have college connections. Then they are only going to try to push the kid toward where they went to school. GET THE KID TO A SHOE CAMP.

Don't even try to troll me on this subject Vic. You don't know ____ & I know world's more about this than you do so do yourself a favor & Please. No one who doesn't go to shoe camp ever gets rated unless their coach has a pipe line to a P-5 school. That is a fact of life. Get the young man in a shoe camp. And if you can get him into three shoe camps, even better.

I personally watched Les Miles step right over Kevin Dotson, Robert Hunt & another really good player that played at UL. I can't think of his name right now, to offer a couple of goobers schollies right in front of my face. I was no more than 10 feet away when he did this. I was in shock. College football camps are decent for teaching technique. That is ALL they are good for. They aren't worth a frick for getting a kid noticed. If you want that kid to get on the recruiting map, then get him to a shoe camp.

Edit: Kenneth Marks was the other one.

One specifically plays FS, RB and QB. He's about 6' and weighs about 195. Runs a 4.5. Defense will likely be his position at the next level.
He has around 70 tackles and 7 picks on the season in a tough 5-A district. He's been VERY lightly recruited so far. Would anyone know the best way to get him out there? Tweet videos and tag coaches? Would love to see him in a Cajuns uniform.
Start tagging recruiting coordinators and their assistants with videos. Get him to as many unofficial visits as possible but be realistic. Most recruiting boards have been set up 2 to 3 years in advance. The Cajuns have 17 public commitments at this point, and likely have it narrowed down to 35 kids they like a lot at this point. Don't rule out other state schools just because they may not be FBS programs. An opportunity to play college football at any level, is an opportunity to receive an education on grant or scholarship. At this stage, a preferred walk-on opportunity may eventually lead to a chance at a scholarship. The first step is to reach out to recruiting coordinators and their assistants on social media.

Video means nothing without a rating in the recruiting game. Reaching out to recruiting coordinators only gives that coordinator your name & puts you on 6th string if your boy is really really good. 7 picks in half a season reeks of really really good. If the kid is a senior all of this advice is not good for ____. Getting a kid into a shoe camp even if his senior season is over will get him rated. Getting him rated will draw interest from schools all over the country. What draws recruiters? Ratings? Why? Because fans & boosters look at ratings. Who sets the ratings? The Shoe camps set the ratings. Anyone who doesn't mention shoe camp doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground about the recruiting game & isn't being honest with you. In most cases they don't even know they're not being honest with you because that's how little they know. SHOE CAMP!

How many kids does T have that have been recruited? How much money has T paid to send a kid to football camps all over timbucktu? How many lies has T, or his son been told by college football coaches? You follow that advice & your kid will most likely be working at Wal Mart within two years. You take my advice & that kid is going to get letters of interest from all over the country. They might not all be FBS, but there are a ton of really good FCS schools he can go to. You can fly inside the jet (shoe camp), or you can grab a rope on the outside of Jet & try to pull yourself inside while its in flight ( no shoe camp).

You are most likely wrong again.
