LSU, purple and gold, Tigers brand markets itself. Anyone who is lazy and wants immediate brand associated with what they are doing just grab on to the LSU brand, without thinking about it. This is a large part of what we are dealing with and other than to all do what we do to promote the Cajuns, I'm not sure what else it out there. It's not easy going against the mafia, even in your own town.
I think any game day experience improvements are on hold until the new stadium is completed. They are banking on the new stadium bringing people in on its own. The admin has put a great deal of effort/money in the past to get people to games but has turned out not to be a good investment so whats the point anymore really?
Dont take any of this to be 100% facts, just my thoughts on it.
You are not wrong, but going into this season with a 13-game winning streak they had definitely leveled up.
Part of the problem was absolutely no public ticket drive WHILE leveled up.
A lot more people would be attending 4pm games if they had made their discretionary decisions and their tickets since July.
So our hard core is say 15K - we need another 10K-15K in the stands to get to 25K to 30K which is what the stadium capacity will be once the renovation is complete to have sell outs and drive up demand. Then that will be at the top of G5 football attendance again.
When you look at only getting another 10-15K it is a plausible thing to get done.
It can be done. There is hope.
