Couldn't make the game. Hand foot mouth disease in the household. but we DID hear those jets fly directly overhead on their way to cajun field. we live off of south college btw. My two year ran to me eyes wide open screaming. it is a chilling sound. pretty wicked. Y'all wash ya hands and look out for that hand foot in mouth disease cher!

F-15’s from La Air National Guard’s 159th Fighter Wing. They are based out of Belle Chase. Their primary mission is interdiction in the Gulf of Mexico.

Always heard these were practice bombing missions. Gotta drop at 3:XX and hit your mark.

    Wonder if they accomplished it

Thanks for the correction. Did the correction produce images of the flyover yesterday?

Would be badass if the pilots had video footage from their seat!

At first I thought so too. But the splayed tailfins were missing, these were straight upright.

BTW, did you think they were loud?

When I was in the USNR, one summer I was doing my two weeks aboard a WWII tin can. We were off of Hawai'i, trying to participate in what was laughingly called 'war exercises,' and they would send jets at us.

Guys were out with binoculars, and one or two would start screaming and pointing. You'd look in that direction, see nothing and then WHOOOOSH an ear-splitting roar about 200 feet overhead...

    ...and they were gone.

The WWII gun turrets were still going tack-a-tack-a-tack-a-tack trying to get into position to fire. It was pretty funny.

But only because they weren't Russky jets...

The flyover was sweet. Loud enough. And I did see the Acadian ambulance chopper to the south. For a second I was like. This might not be good. Pictured seeing a chopper out of control in the jet wash. Guess I’ve seen top gun a couple times.

Those were F-15 Eagles that flew over CF Saturday.
