That's you r problem. You think when I make an evaluation on player, I'm trying to give myself credit for making that player great. The player is either great, or not great for the most part because of his effort. My understanding his talent level is a simple function of not being part of a BS ball washing system that has been going on before either of us was born & has only gotten worse over time. And that system is what causes young players with great talent to end up on a snubbing unit, or rough necking when they could have been an all pro in the NFL. And that just bugs the living hell out of me. I love the game. I have been a student of the game at an ultra high level since I was a kid. does it make me a genius? WTF is a genius? How about someone who is intelligent enough to put their own ego aside to ask the stupid question like why did the Saints trade for a QB when they already had two of them on the roster?

Come on Mel. Who wants to pull for a team that can't have a name because they're afraid of hurting somebody's feelings? I don't know how they couldn't figure out that the Veterans would have been a great name. And they could have had some awesome cammo uniforms to boot. They are a complete disaster.

No, I prefer the Redskins because that is what we grew up with. But if you give me the choice between The Washington Football Team and Commanders, I am going with WFT all day long.

I would have chosen the Senators. I think part of the problem with the Washington Generals was the fact that the basketball team that used and still does play the globetrotters owns the rights to that name. I think they have it copywrited.

I'm just glad the powers that be haven't tried to make us change our name. I called some national goon on the subject one day & explained I was a Cajun & he ran me on the spot claiming I was a racist for using a term like Cajun. Where doe the line get drawn?

Some people had a problem with our basketball uniforms under Evans cause “Cajuns” was written across the “ass” of the short. Somehow that was deemed racist.

Instead he hesitated after the Rice game & Chandler went out & played just well enough with the scripted plays to make himself look as good as he was going to look all season against the worst team in the conference. Mike screwed up, but once again the Almighty bailed him out just like he's done with the weather twice now. I like Mike because God likes Mike. But I ain't gonna build a monument to him & worship him.

I understand what your point is. And you might be absolutely right. But we had no chance against USA with Chandler QBing. And we have much less of a chance with Chandler QBing than we have with Ben against a lot of teams. I'm telling you right now that Mike knows this, or he would have never done what he did to start. This would have been Chandler's team no ifs, ands, or buts. I can guarantee you if Levy were here we all would have known who was the starter day one.
Not saying you are right or wrong but just keep in mind what you saw in Chandler against So Al was with a sprained labrum muscle in his throwing shoulder. It was said after the fact he should not have played. That game is not a good assessment of his capabilities.
