We do know what happened here as you said that Billy Napier just recruited him, that is false as well, CF beat BW out as the backup QB at UL. If LEVI, not Levy, was asked to leave the game (injury, helmet coming off, etc) CF was the backup, not BW. And coach Napier did not ask him to hand the ball off, he asked him to throw the ball.

I am a suckup to no one. I speak my mind always, sometimes to a fault. That being said, like I said before we can agree to disagree on a lot of things. I don't dislike you, you are who you are. I just think some/most of your takes are off base, but I appreciate your passion.

As far as the recruiting services go, I agree with you. They are not right all the time, I was just pointing out that his 3 college coaches and most recruiting services have not seen this the way you have and I trust these people more than some guy behind a keyboard.
Help me out. What is Fresno State's record in a conference with 3 of the bottom ten teams in the country? And once again, when a fresh transfer comes to town who doesn't know anything about your culture, much less your system & you have Levy Lewis at QB. Does it matter who is 2nd string & who is 5th string? And once again you are implying that I hate Chandler & I don't. Chandler is the exactly the kind of guy I would want as my 2nd string QB. He prepares himself to be ready at a moment's notice to go into the game & be ready to run the offense. He's a good game manager. he won't do anything stupid to lose you a game. And he has a decent arm. That is a lot to like about a guy.

The downside is he's not going to take any risks. And the reason is he fears costing his team because he understands the limit of his own ability. I wouldn't doubt that a guy like Chandler ends up in coaching & becomes a very successful coach one day at any level. But make no mistake about it. he doesn't bring the same level of talent to the table that Ben brings. And having taken part in the recruiting game. I can tell you "recruiting services" are full of ____. Absolutely & completely dung holes. They miss on guys as much, or more than they hit on them. And considering how many studs come out of high school each year. That takes some real stupidity.

Actually you are mistaken that is exactly the opposite of what both Napier and CMD have said about the comparison between BW and CF. The reason CF was chosen for the most part was that he had more of a chance to make things happen because he is much more of a risk taker than BW. In fact that was a direct quote in the offseason from CMD. He said that CF can get himself in trouble because he takes too many chances, while BW is more of a guy that you know what you are going to get. Please go back and listen to some of the press conferences, I hate when facts get in your way.

Now that might not be translating to the games that CF has played because maybe he has been looking over his shoulder too much and concerned about getting yanked for BW. But that has been the main take on CF, is that he is a gunslinger and will make mistakes but will also make plays because he takes chances. CMD said that is what gave CF the edge. Again, he has not shown it this year, but that has been stated over and over.

I remember going to one of Hud's practices before his first season. I had just started posting on this message board. I made the mistake of posting my opinion on here & just got ripped to shreds like I was a complete utter moronic buffoon. As I recall, I posted on three players that stood out to me in that practice. One of them was the center that started that season. The 2nd was Blaine Gautier. I made the statement that I thought he was the best QB on the field & was just hammered over that. The 3rd player I saw who IMO was by far the best player on the field that day was Dwight Bentley. I got crushed for making that remark. I even went so far as to say that if that guy played that season the way he practiced that day, he was gonna be worth a 2nd, or third round pick in the draft. You'd have thought I accused someone of leading an insurrection. I still stand by my opinion that late summer day in 2011.

And I don't know who "ripped" you, but I can assure you it was not me. That being said, I can tell you that last year I told anyone that would listen before the season started that the best WR on our football team was Michael Jefferson and even remember being told, who is that, never heard of him or he was an average player at Alabama State, etc. That doesn't mean I am Nostradamus, it means I thought a player would be good and he was.

Sometimes we are right and sometimes we are wrong. I don't remember your post in 2011 but good for you in getting that right and shame on anyone who "ripped" you because of it.

Then it appears Chandler Fields has been over coached, because I see nothing on the field that fits the offseason descriptions.

It seems the ramblings of one particular poster are fraught with the same degrees of arrogance he attributes to Jay Walker.

Reminder...most of us (save a very few) are fans with two things:

    1) Opinions; and,
    2) Overblown senses of the values of those opinions.

I remember you stating that Nate Stupar should never have been let go by the Saints and shortly their after the NY Giants released him and he never played another down of football. In fact, I think you stated he might have the ability to be a Pro Bowler.

You also stated on a call that the Saints were the most professional franchise in all of the NFL and that they were building to one of the greatest dynasties of all time.

You have stated allot of things that might have come to be true and a ton of things that have come to be completely wrong.

Does that make you a genius? No.

Does that make you a moron? No.

Does it make you someone that has some knowledge of football and is a huge fan and gets some things right and some things wrong......Abso-F'N-Lutely.

I absolutely agree with you on Jefferson, especially now that he's going to be getting the ball from one guy & IMO the best guy to get him the ball. Jefferson MIGHT not become a really good NFL receiver. But it won't be because he doesn't have the talent to be. The guy has NFL written all over him. Consistency is the key for a guy like him. It will be the difference in him being 2nd/3rd/4th round pick & being a 6th/7th Rd/ free agent. And I see a guy who wants to be consistent & knew the 2 QB system was hurting him.
