We are more interested in challenging the process here. While that is perfectly ok, it is not the end all be all . . .

So what, if they split time the first four weeks…we were never going undefeated anyway. Truth be told, either of these QB’s can win bc there is not a glaring difference in one being THAT much better than the other. Maybe we kept the QB race going as long as we did so both kids stay competing. Ill bet the farm if a starter was named in the spring, one would of jumped ship and hit the portal. And its pretty obvious the staff thinks the rest of the QB room isnt quiet where they need to be as a #2 or backup guy. Let the coaches coach i promise they not trying to suck as a football team.
Would have been dumb to name a starter at the end of spring. The timing was right. Not letting your starter be THE GUY was the wrong move for your team and that obviously showed. I didn’t have a dog in the hunt as to who the starter was going to be. If you listened to James Butler, a former Cajuns receiver, on Scott’s show a couple of weeks ago, he talked about how important it was not only to the receivers but to the locker room to have a GUY at that position.

    Pretty darn funny . . .

I know enough about football to know doing that proves nothing in this discussion.

Well, we didn’t have a GUY at that position then just like CBN was way over a year into the process before he had a GUY in that position and look where he is today.

I don't think most people took it that he preferred one over the other, only that he prefers to get throws from one or the other, but not both.

Not Alabama Clemson but one that comes to mind off the top my head that was a battle through camp was 2017 Ohio st. JT Barret vs Joe Burrow. Barret won the very tight battle. Joe was the back up.

So, you think we have Barret/Burrow talent on our roster?

You miss the point. Barrett / Burrow had equal talent at their level but urban picked Barrett and went with him and didn’t play musical QBs. Like 99.9999% of coaches out there that ours obviously knows better than. It’s whats best for a team and a locker room. I know you don’t believe me so go ask someone other than me who has been in a college football locker room. James Butler said as much on Scott’s show last week.
