this should not be news. jay has always taken every chance to talk down to fans. but i dont get mad because he is what he has always been. a pompous jerk. but he is a good broadcast and he loves the cajuns so i tolerate it when i need to. he does have an odd hatred toward our fans though that is obvious

He doesn’t hate all fans. Only those with an opinion that he knows are right but he can’t admit it because he has to protect the house. He will go down with that ship even to the point that it makes him look silly.

I think there’s separate issues being discussed, but lumped together.

1. Fans who don’t want a two QB system.
- my opinion: I hate two QB systems. As an offensive lineman it was different playing with two different QBs. I can’t imagine how different it would have been if I was a RB or WR.
- my opinion: using Billy’s first season as an example of good use of two QB systems is bad. We went 7-7 that year.

2. Fans complaining about one QB playing bad and wanting to see the other QB play.
- my opinion: that’s football. Players get benched all the time for bad play.

It’s not semantics. There is a difference.

I just don’t think there’s that many of them. If he makes these general statements it sounds like it’s many fans. I really think it’s a small percentage who blew up.

There are many who want to see one QB and let it play out. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable want.
