Regardless of who is right or wrong, I'm just happy that we have passionate fans willing to get angry and call shows. We should do everything we can to protect that. Some fan bases would die to have it.

Every fan should have the right to get angry, call shows and post in places like this.
However, when they do so, they should expect push back when push back is in order and even in times when it is not in order. The standards should be the same for each type of poster.
Some become ill when the push back slaps them in the face. Too bad . . .
You are correct. But take it a step further. There are those who think Chandler should be the starter. And there are those who think Ben should be the starter. In reality both have history to prove their points. A lot of people believe had Chandler been left in the ULM game we would have our starter right now. I don't agree with their assessment, but I do think they have a perfectly logical reason to believe what they believe. So I'm not mad at those people. They have a valid point.
Then there are those like myself who have seen enough to realize that there was a reason Mike had doubts about who should start at QB. The only reason Chandler wasn't the lone starter IMO is because Mike knew all along that Ben was just more of what would be considered a big time football player at that position. It happens. You have a guy who is good, but not great, serviceable, but not a difference maker. A guy who can manage a game when he has better players across the board & guide you to a win, but can't make the difference up between winning & losing.
And you have a guy who is a natural born risk taker who has a lot of ability & belief in himself. A guy who is going to make something happen one way or the other in a tight game wheter you're down by a field goal, or up by a field goal. A guy who is strong, tough & willing to put his body & reputation on the line to help his team win the game, or take on the responsibility of losing by himself. I don't doubt for minute that Mike has seen both of these attributes in both of these guys way before we did. The fact is in his radio interview Monday it's basically what he said.
So, there are fans in the Chandler camp & there are fans in the Ben camp. I don't think there are any in the both QBs at one time camp any more unless you're just begging to suck the coach's ass without even attempting to understand why it is he did what he did. So Jay trying to justify what Mike did without even thinking about it shows Jay is wrong. Then Jay belittled fans from both camps as though they were the same group, which they are not. So once again he is wrong on that account. I said which camp I was in & if Ben proved me wrong I would be the first one to admit it & without debating me, waited until I left the call & then accused me of being a finnicky flip flopper for being willing to admit I was wrong IF I am proven wrong, which I won't be. I will be proven right.
But Jay's right about one thing & one thing only. It's not about us. It's not about him. It's not even about Mike except that he has the responsibility on his shoulders to do the right thing. It's about the team. And where Jay misses the boat over & over & over again now for thirty years is no one cares more about the team than the fans do. NO ONE JAY! And that means if for no other reason, he owes us at least, that much respect.
Here is where the boat is missed. If you listen to jay and Scott after BWKs call they talk about the ULM game and pulling chandler after he scored 2 TDs in a row. They talk about that being the script. And mike keeping his word to Ben. Well scripts or deviated from in many football games if something is working. And Mike just let down 80 some odd football players on his team in order to keep his word to one Ben. It was an obvious momentum killer and even mike admitted in his press conference that he should have done it differently. Leave chandler in and he might have scored 4 in a row and put it away? Who knows?
This is where being a free thinker & not liking what you are told to like by whatever flavor of media & still being able to glean truth is beyond you Charlie K. For the most part I like hearing jay speak. Maybe you missed that part. What I don't care for is the way he goes out of his way to put the fans who foot the whole freaking bill for this mess down like they are useless cannon fodder. While I like Jay so much I was probably one of less than ten people on planet Earth that listened to him & Gerald the whole time during the lightning delay, I cannot stand his condescending attitude toward our fan base.
You want to talk about fan attendance one reason a lot of people probably don't attend UL games? It probably coincides with the same reason a sports radio station with a fantastic idea has tumbled down the gutter into lowest ratings of any station in the area. It's the same attitude toward the followers of that station that causes them to have a worthless POS segment like terrible tune tuesday religiously after a decade when nobody really wanted to hear that crap after a month of having their ears pierced with garbage.
Every once in a while when you aren't attempting to be the world's biggest troll you make a good post. This is one of them. So why continually try to suck Mike's butt on the two QB system until someone got hurt? Speak your own mind instead of sounding like a little ____ bird troll. Maybe then you'd get some respect.
I have never supported a 2 QB system. I don't believe Mike ever intended there to be a two QB system.
He was just not ready to land one of them when the season started and felt he needed on the field play to make a final decision, but that could have come at any time as he was not in it to have a two QB system.
What we saw was CMD's process of feeling his way through determining who would be the single QB. It's people like you who could not stand to be patient and tried to brand it as a 2 QB system, then yelled as loud as you could and posted book after book about something that was not.
Napier, on the other hand, intended to have a 2 QB system his first season here. This is just not was CMD was doing.
Once again, you're full of crap. There were posters calling for mike's job maybe even before the Rice game. I had no problem with what Mike did until I saw evidence that it was hurting the team. He should have had enough information to make up his mind going into conference play & stuck with it. That's where he lost me on this whole experiment & you can't go back & find a single post that shows otherwise. That was patience in case you're not aware of the meaning of the word. It wasn't toe the company line horse crap, but it was patience. And it was the correct amount of patience. The only reason you are posting now against the 2 QB garbage is because you listened to Mike's interview Monday & got the same meaning from what he said that I got.
