UL Football A Little Arkansas State History

The Cajuns are 13-7 in the last 20 meetings between the two schools.

Eleven of those games have been one score games. The Cajuns are 9-2 in one score games over the last 20 years.

In those meetings, Arkansas State has won once at Cajun Field. That was in 2012 when Gus Malzahn was their coach.

The Cajuns lead the all time series 25-18 and have won the last four meetings between the two teams.

Four of the last six meetings have been decided by seven points or less. The last time the Cajuns won by double digits in Lafayette was in 2014 (55-40).

Bad night to hand out ropes at the gate.

So based on history and very low probability of QB rotation, one should be comfortable picking the Cajuns this week in the office pool.

Hard to believe that we only played 43 games against them. Seems like it should be at least in the high fifties. Guess those few years they were in the Big West, I believe, are silent years.

Chris Smith told Des he is ready, Des said wait and see Saturday. I can't recall if he actually used the word probable or not.

Believe it was probable. He’s practicing I think he said.

Having Chris Smith available Saturday would be a huge plus. I sure hope he can go.

Amazing how, just a few weeks ago, some folks were saying Chris Smith wasn't a starting caliber running back.

Dude is electric and the heart and soul of the team. Bleeds Vermilion.
