You just love telling people they’re wrong. I don’t know why cambre isn’t playing. Maybe it’s cause with the addition of legendre, Mike has settled on a tighter WR rotation. Once again you tried to be right by saying he would never make the 2 deep when in reality he did. So yeah have a nice day
Two more pages and still no QB decision.
Nice to have gotten a win along the way, on the road, against a team many here were outraged was not in the top 25 a few weeks ago.
Those outraged about the failure of Marshall to have been ranked are generally the same who will be outraged when Chandler lines up at QB again this season.
Isn’t it nice to have so much talent in the QB room . . .
Same here. We committed to the passing game in the second half as they had nobody who could stop our big receivers on the outside and Ben threw some really nice passes. Our running game is still struggling to say the least and it wasn't just because Marshall has a good defense. We've been struggling all season. Put together a much better plan in the second half and executed better than they did and made less mistakes than they did. Good win but I don't necessarily call it a complete game either.
For those saying Ben "wasn't" great...
I'd like to know what game you were watching.. Was it the one with the Oline being kicked around the entire game? Was it the game where Ben's team couldn't run the football for 3.5 quarters? The game where the opposing team Blitzed on 60% of snaps and he was running for his life? The game where the officials were hell bent on calling BS on the Cajuns offense?
Even with only 3 points and 120 yards, that was the best QB play we've seen this year. Take away the ridiculous OPI, that first drive looks totally different. Then Marshall takes away the only receiver that consistently creates separation.
I thought Ben played his ass off. The offensive line continues to be putrid. In particular this game, Gillie and Harrington looked terrible. Sorry to name names, but my god, at some point, you have to block some damn body.
Even with all that, Ben threw some DIMES. That ball to Fleming in the back of the end zone was beautiful. The ball over the middle to Jefferson early in the 1st qtr was perfect. Ball to Stephens late was a pro throw. (And great catch by Stephens - Welcome back).
I don't believe Chandler has done anything to lose the job BUT when you are .500 and even worse in conference, you aren't really at a spot in the season where you can tinker with things. I'd understand if Des committed to Ben just because of what he saw last night by himself. If he were to falter or the offense slowed down, I'd have no problem bringing Chandler in and letting him give it a try and if he were to spark them, give him his run as well.
