I loved that wildcat play with Legendre. He looked really quick. Maybe there is a role for him similar to Hill with the Saints.

Taysom Hill is by far my favorite football player. If we can in any way find a Cajun to emulate Hill, that would be unbelievably great and should be done.
I wrote an opinion that we weren’t as bad as 2-3, could easily be 4-1. This win was GREAT, but this team is still flawed. This season revolves around the offense doing enough to win games as the defense will keep us in the game against every future opponent.
We cannot turn the ball over, and we have to score at least 20 points a game. Definitely setting a low bar for points, but that is how much faith I have in this defense.
Oh, and yes, I did take my own advice and take the Cajuns at +10.5
I’m hoping we can get up to 7 wins this season and get invited to some little bowl somewhere. Mainly to get us more practice/development time and an additional game for all of the young folks on this team. It would be a great help going into next year.
Money line paid 3.5x on this one!
That was great game by the defense. I am surprised to say this but The M. Garner loss in the secondary is by far the most inconsequential of our P5 transfers.
The DB’s are really solid.
I hope Smith comes back soon because we need a RB who can break some tackles.
WR’s only had 1 drop. I hope that is a trend and we don’t revert back to 3-4 drops a game.
Ben really seemed to find his rhythm in the 2nd half. He looked more poised in the pocket after the break.
And Kenny Almandares!!
I had a great time at the game! Met up with some fans and it was good to meet some players families. Here’s a quick rundown:
I stayed at the team hotel and couldn’t check in till after the game which was a minor inconvenience but I did get a personal mini Cajun Walk when they loaded onto the busses which was very cool. Every Marshall fan I met, including the students, was very nice and to a person are extremely happy to be in the Belt. The crowd was good but only loud a few times in the game. The weather was not bad during the game it only sprinkled for a few minutes. The weather delay was a shot show, some rent a cop was a total bag and yelling at the fans to leave the stands. Then we had to leave the entire stadium only to be readmitted like five minutes later, stupid. The best part was the teams performance, only a few minor mistakes. The officiating was pretty bad, especially the call on Hazard, but couldn’t see the good replays like on TV. The campus was small but nice, they were renovating the fountain commemorating the crash so that would have been nice to see. Their tailgate was fairly small but packed especially considering a Wednesday game. Walkable from hotel to stadium and a decent amount of good watering holes, was better after the game.
When we go back I would encourage fans who road trip to hit up Marshall. I can’t state enough how nice their fans were, nothing like the forum jockeys.
Next day observations....
Ben is QB1 and the team needs him to take all of the snaps.
Dre needs more touches.
Lamar Morgan knows what he is doing.
I hate to say this, but with our WRs, we actually need to throw more 50/50 balls.
Was Legendre in on any other plays during the game? I didn’t hear his name called. It was great to see Dez giving him some love after that play (to seal the game).
Don't do it. Don't make me want this. It was too good. It can't be that good again, can it?.... Oh Lord....I have to say, when Legendre took off, it was like catching a glimpse of another time, when defenses were gutted like tunas, and this guy was in charge.....
