Not one single quote in real time (or since) indicated a nationwide search.

The article explains exactly why maggard didn’t. MD is and will be the man. Give him time. 7 key tranfers, coaches, qb, and graduates. It’s a bit of a rebuild. Nobody wants it but it is what it is.

The "every corner of the roster" insertion is a literary reference to the traditional search term "every corner of the counrty."

I think Maggard could have easily avoided all this angst towards MD's credentials if he had only pretended to do a public search.

Please stop it. Mike was left in as good of shape as he could possibly hope for. There are a lot of coaches who would have given their right nut to be able to inherit what Des inherited. You want rebuild? Go across the swamp to that $h!+ hole. Now that's a rebuild.

Seems this article could have been a more enjoyable read had it been written while he was still trying to extend the nation’s longest win streak?
    Where was ESPN then?

We had 4 straight years of the #1 recruiting class in the SBC ... What happened to those players?

3 @ Florida, 2 at LSU and one TCU. Rankings are just that, we all know it doesn't always transfer to FBS success....

We never had four number one recruiting classes under CBN. His first class was only about a dozen players. Most proved to be very good though.
