Thread: Louisiana Quarterbacks

  1. Default Louisiana Quarterbacks

How can we have so many great quarterbacks on our roster and have quarterback issues every week.

There will most certainly be some departures after this season. Plenty of eligibility left on the board. Let’s have a seasoned discussion on the path Louisiana needs to take now and for the rest of the season in order to assure we are full and deep at the most important position for the next couple of years.

A little detour but in the same general position and QB future.

Last night on the ABC local station they were commenting about a local quarterback with zero FBS offers. I’m sorry didn’t get his name, and vital stats like height, weight. What I did get was some jaw dropping numbers. 70% passing, over 1700 running yards and from Lutcher High School. We’ve gotten some pretty great players from the River Parishes in the past, hopefully the coaching staff is aware of this kid. He might just be a late bloomer, or grades issue. Just seems he’d qualify as at least a athlete.

As for red shirting a player. Those days seem to be gone except for later developing players. NIL T Portal (TP) gives the modern player way more opportunities than the universities.

The competition against other teams is so inconsistent in high school, it's very hard to tell sometimes how talented a player is. For example, some running backs have these gaudy numbers and averages per carry, but then in college they are well, average. It's a tough way to make a living trying to figure out who is going to be good, and not everybody has that gift.

River Parish schools have a long and consistent history of providing some of the best college players in the country.

Ben only unless he’s injured. Nobody is gaining experience for the sake of experience

I am thinking hunter for sure and either chandler or Ben will be gone. Depending on which on closes out as the starter down the stretch.
