    That's too many points

I feel like this is on us. Jay can correct me if I'm wrong and I'll eat my words but if you run a business you kinda wanna maximize revenue as much as possible. Like it or not that school to the east has a huge effect on our attendance.
That game was in the first year of having turf, if I remember correctly. Temps on the field were in excess of 125%.

This is when the SBC was trying to get television off the ground. The game was televised by the SBC Network and distributed to Cox Sports Television. Although ESPN3 had debuted a few months before, I do not think this game was on ESPN3.

Gerald Broussard told me he thought Rickey Bustle was going to die on the sidelines. Literally. At halftime he got IV's because of dehydration to the point where he couldn't function.

It had already been announced UL would play MTSU the following week. On Monday of that week, AD David Walker told Commissioner Wright Waters we would not play the game at 2:30. The Commish was furious and told DW he'd have to work out financial compensation with MTSU.

David called MTSU AD Chris Massaro and asked if moving the game to 6pm would cause a financial hardship. Massaro said not to worry about it, and that didn't make WW happy either. The game was moved to 6pm and I think another school was put in the 2:30 time slot.

I never did care for Wright Waters that much as a commissioner. When a commish refuses to call a league member by what they wished to be referred as I have a problem with it.

Wow. Facilitator gets upset he's asked to facilitate something for a member institution. What an a-hole.

I was at that game as a student in the redzone, it was brutal.

I like Wright personally and he did some good things as Commissioner, especially as it pertains to the start of SBC football.

But not only did he not facilitate the Louisiana brand, he forced ULL down our throats.

Personally I’m not in favor of a festival dedicated to drinking as much beer as possible for anyone 21+ years old. Certainly I’d never bring my minor children, grandchildren to that. But that’s me now. I’m sure the 21-35 Cajun Express might have indulged, but not with children in my care.
Strange how a group putting on Gulf Brew, that is supposed to be promoting Acadiana, would be even mentioning LSU over UL. This is why we can't have nice things. Our own won't even promote us, or even give us consideration over a university not a part of Acadiana. It's really sad.

So, you didn't watch them play us a couple weeks ago?

Pretty sure my data was Louisiana data . . . I know that’s hard for you but it’s not for the people compiling the data . . .

I'm wondering if the administration has learned anything from the HC dumpster fire that was parking and pregame... expect a good (for us) crowd, weather looks great!

Yes, that is one of the "perks" of buying the VIP tickets as you have access to the LSU game. My wife called me today to mention that. Hard to believe but not really.
