I talk to Chris often. While we can agree, there are head scratching things happening, he believes Des will succeed here.

I do to. I personally think he will learn from his first year and make adjustments where they are needed.

He may also be learning that there’s very few people who can have self discipline, especially at such a young age.
    Truth.

    For some context...
We are on the same page alot, but I disagree with number 4. Everything that I have read suggests he is more on the disciplinarian side. John Gordon is a very good friend of Coach Sweeney and he has some very good stories to tell in some of his books.

Did he coach any of your family members in high school? I’ll take the people I know and trust word on that.

No he didn't. I do however know coaches that coached under him and some kids that played under him. I will also trust those guys.

He was a hard ass and hard headed as a high school coach. I’m not interested in other opinions because they would not only be just that, but they would also be wrong if different from this.

Could be he's grown up since coaching HS...matured, seasoned...life has a way to bring out your best as long as you give it a chance...maybe he gave it a chance..

He was always soft and has gotten softer. Nobody on the staff gets on players ass or in there face. The wrong message is being sent when you arent giving these players critical feedback.

He came on this site as a player and made one hard nosed looooooong post laying down the law on how fans should act.

And it worked we was the best fans in the world ... for 3 games.

    We needed more coaching.
