I personally think if we don’t use the bell, it just becomes an eyesore. Not to mention a waste of money! If they don’t use it, then I suggest taking It down because otherwise it is incredibly useless.

This is a problem with this school. There is zero.zero percent spirit, or student participation . A student should get a chance to ring the bell every time the Cajuns score, or get a turnover & they should get paid a dollar for every time it chimes. 3 dollars for a field goal, 7 for touchdown with extra point. etc. But they have to ring it for free on third downs & such. This school has absolutely no idea how to get students, or locals involved. It's almost like they don't want to deal with the responsibility of being leaders.

Not a bad idea, but I don’t think paying students would be necessary unless there is no interest in ringing the bell among students. I feel like there would be a handful (if not more) willing to do it.

Well you know they always have that deal where they try to kick the field goal which usually makes the students look like crap. Instead of that, you draw a student's name & let them win a few dollars while showing some school spirit. As badly as this university has treated its own students, it needs to do something to get those people back into the stands. I really think this university is indifferent at best & hostile at worst against its own fan base.

So many ways to improve the spirit at almost zero costs. It’s truly as though we want to be nearly good, but damned well better not get too close to being good.

Therein lies the issue. Get too good/big, harder for Martin Hall to control. I’m becoming more jaded by the day. And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.

The “stadium renovation”…is quickly becoming either an “I’ll believe it when I see it” or “how many corners are getting cut” situation with me. Seems everything else is going down the toilet at the same time. I’ve seen pretty much this exact movie before with the RCC. I hope I’m wrong, and I’m sure some sunshine pumper will tell me. Don’t bother, I don’t need carbon monoxide inflating my colon.

Other than slapping donors names on things at CF, nothing significant has happened since the drive for the renovation started. And IN GENERAL, the products on the field/court/pitch are becoming accepted mediocre.

Can’t even get a freaking mascot. Too darn worried about feelings…having a diversified mascot. Can’t pull the trigger on that, it explains the game day experience misfires and the stadium.

    Lead darn it! Somebody, please!
