  1. UL Football Desormeaux 15 Years Ago This Week

I think the pictures capture Mike Desormeaux's intensity

No the first picture is not sideways.

Desormeaux is diving for a touchdown.

Looks like another well attended game at CF.

Pirogue took most of those pictures and we were angled towards the visitor section.

The home side was decent as I recall.

I can tell you the students were out in force and I took this picture after the game.

I wish we’d bring back the post game high five “tradition”. I loved it and my sons would as well!

That was back when if you wanted to keep your tailgate drunk rolling you had to bootleg Jim beam into the Swamp like you were some criminal.

With Des and Fenroy and ol' Bustle Up, we finally started winning some games.

I sure as hell hope we have some swag, confidence and all around ____ed off game plan for Marshall.

That sir was standard operating procedure for decades. A game of cat and mouse. Dare I say, another lost TRADITION?

USL took it away and monetized booze.

I agree it was an added element to Gameday. You weren't just going hit up some Cajuns Football, it was a mission.

With the way things are going these days, it wouldn't surprise me to see folks rolling one up in the stands. Probably cure all attendance issues.

We might not have won a whole lot but Dez and Fenroy were fun to watch.

    Yes sir.

North Texas was on a tear back then, then went CUSA I don't know when.

Us Cajuns fans at the time, some alum, some still students finally started seeing the light of not only a winning season but a Bowl. A friend of mine from West Monroe (UL alum) said that ULM started wearing one of those Armstrong wrist bans/bracelets (the flexible yellow thing) that said on it: Win Belt, Win Bowl.
