In my opinion, the ULSU fan is just an easy target. Because they like sports, it's easy to just look at them and say "Traitor! You should spend your fandom on the Cajuns!"

The real solution is going out and educating alumni on why it's important to support the Cajuns. Why it makes the community better. Why it's important to take pride in being a Louisiana Alumnus. That's where the opportunity is. If we do a good job cultivating those people, we won't need a single ULSU "fan."

The problem is finding people who care enough to do the footwork. And then when you find those people, they have to be effective communicators. They have to understand the history of the Acadian culture and be able to gain trust. Something that is very hard to do here.

Exactly, so many of our alumni who are sports fans are indifferent towards our programs. The Sun Belt has grown into one of the most exciting conferences in G5 and football. We have a new regional rival in Southern Miss now in the conference and have a team that has been highly ranked and has achieved things many never thought was possible here. We have things that we never had before, however we are horrible at communicating to our community and alumni at large. No banners or signs acknowledging our recent accomplishments is just unacceptable.

The answers lie within our graduates and our own University. We just have to utilize what we have and be smart and driven about how we do things going forward. Change cannot be the enemy.

Was the South end zone seats constructed then? That has spread the crowds out and made them appear smaller since that was done.
