Winning close games is what Billy's teams did in 2021. It's not like Billy's teams were blowing every one out...he played some squeakers against bad teams. Let's see if Mike can get this thing turned around.
He won 6 games by small margins in addition to all of the other games he won. We won't even win 6 games, we've lost all 3 of our close games so far. We are a 0% win team in close games where Billy was almost 100%.

    Apples to oranges.

He had 5th and 6th seniors that played together for a half a decade. If you combine our current OL’s entire career starts, it’s half of the starts that Ken marks, Shane vallot and max mitchell had EACH! We have 3 redshirt soph’s, a redshirt freshmen and redshirt junior on the OL (once burton starts) Levi Lewis had 3 starts before Billy even got here and still split time once Billy did get here then went on to start 39 games in 3 years. Percy butler, Manac, Humphrey, Torrence, Johnson, Bailey, garner, Gardner, wisham…all gone. Lost All those guys and we are still only handful of plays from being undefeated. You know what a lot those guys were before they learned how to win together? 7-7.

This is called stomping a bad and disposable agenda right into the mud . . . Curious to see the comeback . .

You're going to have close games throughout the year regardless of the team you are. Perhaps there are a few anomalies in the CFB world but by and large everyone has close games that you need to win to be a good/great team. We haven't won the close games because we aren't a good team. Not even arguing why we aren't a good team, we simply aren't a good team.

They had all of that talent and like you said before they learned to win together they were 7-7. We won't even sniff a .500 winning record this year because we are not a good team. Plain and simple.

So you want CMD to do with a bad team what CBN barely did with a great team.

    Yea, we understand . . .

The original poster said before they were good they were 7-7, so that means they were a .500 team when they were bad. We won't even hit .500 so that makes us worse than bad right?

Not sure why you try and spin everyone's comments.

Bc most of these guys haven’t had to do it. They have been backups or substitutes but when it really mattered, they weren’t on the field, Especially on offense. When it mattered you had the 5 guys up front with almost 200 starts under their belt. You had a qb with over 40 starts, you had Percy butler playing special teams who is on a 53 man roster right now. You had a team full of guys who not only had been through the battles but had been through them together. Give the damn team a chance to figure it out. Our O-line of the last 3-4 years probably didn’t even need to talk to each other to know where they were going.

That team started 2-3. A lot of least years team also shouldn’t have been here anymore if it were not for covid. Not every team will benefit the same time from the covid year depending on where your roster was at the time. We benefited greatly from it last year.

Fair enough but we the point isn't about last years team, it was said that BEFORE those guys on that team learned how to play together they were a .500 team. My point is we are worse than those guys, several years back, when they were only .500.

Hud did not take players or coaches away from Napier as Napier did from CMD
