Shift all of the activities to the East side of the stadium and make parking free on the West side with RCAF parking where the RVs are now.

Close down Cajundome BLVD to auto traffic.

Open Table room as the GameDay sports bar

Food truck and brewery alley can be between the convention center and the Cajundome. Get all the local restaurants and Bars involved.

Sell tailgating spots round the Cajundome under all the trees and park like surroundings. Invite overflow towards the rec fields which would incorporate the Greek houses and encourage more of the Greeks and students to participate.

Utilize all of the green space going towards Blackham. Make that free tailgating. Set up wherever you want.

Have a transit system using the Campus buses to transport tailgaters down Cajundome BLVD to the stadium and call it touchdown transit.

Get the ____ out of that dusty, stale parking lot on the Westside and use the beautiful realty that is available.

    It's not that ____ing hard
    I love these ideas!!!

And that is why RCAF will never have autonomy; no so much dictating day to day to the administration, but a body that could say no, you can’t spend “the stakeholders’ funds” on this or that.

We would never have an Auburn situation, that’s a lone donor on a power trip. But we need RCAF autonomy.

And if the UL”L” administration reads this, drop the damn extra L and/or Lafayette. There’s no consequences in the “law”. Market the front porch.

We have players making simple mistakes and not one coach is in those players face jumping there ass or giving any kind of critical feedback. This is a soft coaching staff and the play, penalties.Kind of like Martin Hall administrators.

We were talking about the lethargic vibe of the people they hire for game day ops.

This has always been the solution. One of the biggest wastes of money in recent memory was spending half a million on the Table Room. It's open, what, 8-10 times per year? When it is open there are, what, 8-10 people even aware of the place? Another complete failure.

Btw, Nico straight up asked the pod guys about tailgating changes and what we thought would work. I gave your idea (and gave you credit by name, btw) to them. I included the option to tailgate on the East side concourse inside the stadium for students to keep them close to the field before kickoff as well. To his credit, Nico pushed for it. It never materialized.

When the West side tower comes down, it will be a perfect opportunity to shift tailgating to the east side of the stadium. Message it (there's that phrase again) to the people as an interim solution and then just leave it there. Keeps the students and regular fans closer, added shade, better scenery, easier walk for all, eliminates the catastrophic traffic jams on Betrand, gives credence to why they're shutting down CajunDome BLVD, etc. Shuttles from parking areas, center it around the Table Room, band stands on each side of the CD (maybe one at Bourgois Rec Park), open Lamson for additional concessions, keep the student tailgate where it is now.

Winning the Event is not hard. You just have to have people that care enough to try.

MAT, I would add those folks have to be smart enough to tryright now, that's debatable.

    What a golden opportunity though.

"Attention Cajun fans: We are renovating CF! We need the west side parking/tailgating area for construction site. Temporarily, we'll move gameday operations and tailgating to the East side!" (At this point, you provide a map with detailed explanation of where everything will be) Make sure you have an exciting lineup of music. Maybe book some speakers that can talk about the history of CF during their playing times. Relieve some memories.

Use this as a promotional campaign throughout the damn summer. People will show up to an event in Lafayette. Nunguesser will be running for Gov. Get his office back here to promote again. State funds are involved so its an easy segway and promotes both parties. Invite the architects to come and do a speech on how they worked their way through the design process. And on and on.

When it's over, you simply let people decide themselves that this setup was much better than the previous set up. Then you go right into promoting the new stadium.

Gulf Brew Saturday, October 22 Downtown Lafayette 1-5, advertises rock n bowl as after party.

website advertises LSU A&M game on big screen during event.

We have a home game vs Arkansas State time tba. Of course no mention of our game and it will likely take away many casual fans.

Is this another example of Lafayette and UL out of sync?

This is the staff, if anyone wants to point out to them how incredibly stupid it is to promote LSU&A&MC while doing a Lafayette based event, the same freaking day we have a home game.

    https://acadianacenterforthearts.org/about/#staff

I will be boycotting the event if they can't find a way to incorporate the Cajuns.
