So seems like we've gone back in time to 2005.

1) DeSormeaux is the most discussed name in Lafayette.
2) Merchandise is almost non-existent.
3) University (one person in particular) is being a Nazi with our name.
4) Our name is Louisiana-Lafayette, ULL and UL - Lafayette again according to the bookstore.
5) Losing football games we shouldn't.
6) Jay hollering at fans on the radio.
7) Facebook harboring the "aww shucks" fans and banning people who don't kiss the ring.
8) Poo-Poo is back in full force.
9) Local media not covering the team in favor of the pukes out east.
10) Idiots on social media proclaiming the banning of MAT from RP.

Did I miss anything? Nice to see you all again

I've been told I can't use names. So I won't. But we have an issue with licensing and branding. It is impossible to "grow the brand" if outside entities aren't allowed to sell things with your name on it. Feel free to investigate. All roads lead to one office...

I really think #4 is just something that people are used to saying but to your point the marketing of "Louisiana" has a lot to be desired. I've always said that this university has always done a horrible job at marketing. It's gotten worse.

It absolutely has gotten worse, and it really, it couldn't be a worse time for it. Literally the most successful season in Cajuns Football history. I live across the street from the stadium. Other than the digital billboard on Betrand, you wouldn't have known there was a football team here, let alone a nationally ranked, NATION LEADING WINNING STREAK football team. And we were talking about this throughout the offseason. Apparently, we were the only ones.

It hasn't been said but we now all know that Athletics pretty much has no say in things like logos and gear available. So that office is the next logical place to look for the people in charge.

Besides the unalterable standard header and footer, there is not a single mention of the schools official full name or nickname brand Louisiana.

Nary a mention of the athletic brand Louisiana or even the oft used illegal UL Lafayette.
