If the RCAF were set up like the TAF, what would be different now?
Would Marlin still be here?
Would the Baseball facility be complete?
Would Cajun Field already be rebuilt?
Would the Football situation be different?
I’m curious.

YES
RCAF, like Maggards job since Billy left, is a house of cards...
Is this the reason for membership stagnation? What is the current and peak membership numbers since inception? My perception is it peaked with HUD then has fizzled even with CBN.
It takes money to be different. There is no money. If there were money all of the above would all be different in a positive way. If there was money, Big Fish would have been bought out years ago. People saying that there is money and money isn't the problem are delusional.
Exactly. Shouldn't take 4 plus years to raise $5 million for a new baseball office/locker room/hitting facility. Not to mention when is the first piece of heavy equipment gonna hity the ground at Cajun Field? I remember Jay Walker's comment after the last home game either last year or year before that that would be his last game in the current press box. Guess what, he's still in the same press box. Just another example of "show me the money" as you said.
My questions are:
- What persons are driving membership in RCAF?
- What persons are raising money for RCAF?
- What persons are raising money for the Alumni Association
- What persons are raising money for Grants and monies that helped achieve R1 status?
- Is there any overlap of responsibilities or duties?
I ask if there is any overlap because if there is, the double duty dipper will always focus on the most lucrative areas, whereas a standalone RCAF fund raiser will stay more motivated when not having to change hats.
Isn’t Dr. Maggard wearing all those hats right now?
