  1. UL Football Game 4 Preview: at ULM

Louisiana officially opens Sun Belt Conference play on Saturday when it visits in-state foe ULM at Malone Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Nick White (pbp) and Desmund Lighten (color) providing commentary.

Fans will able to listen to the game worldwide on the Varsity Network, Hot 107.9 FM and ESPN 1420 AM with Jay Walker (pbp), Gerald Broussard (color) and Cody Junot (sideline) on the call. Live statistics will be available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana (2-1), which had its school-record, 15-game win streak snapped last week at Rice, has won 13 of its last 16 SBC openers and has claimed 12 of the last 14 meetings against ULM (1-2). The teams will meet for the 57th time with Louisiana holding a 31-25 lead in a series which dates back to 1951.

The Ragin' Cajuns claimed a 21-16 win in another nail-biter in last year's regular-season finale at Cajun Field. Thirty games in the 56-game series have been decided by a touchdown or less with 16 contests being decided by a field goal or less.

ULM opened its season with losses at Texas and Alabama, and sandwiched around a 35-7 win over Nicholls on Sept. 10.

We should call the game “ The battle of Louisiana”!

Nick White PBP. You will definitely want to sync Jay and G. I remember listening to him on sports radio 97.7 a few years back interviewing George Faust and he referred to the school in Lafayette as Louisiana and Nick called him out for it.

Kolton Browning, who was the ULM quarterback 2011-13 and led them to their only bowl appearance, is an honorary captain for the game as they honor the 2012 team's 10th anniversary.

Him being in the stadium probably gives ULM a touchdown. That dude was good. I have mad respect for him.

Oh, you mean the game that was a nine point game til Hud stuck it up their ___ with that last second pass to rub it in.

ULM beat us the next year and Coach Berry had a chance to do the same thing to us. But he didn't send anyone out as a receiver.

And in '11, Browning had us beat with an 11 point lead and three minutes left. By the time he touched the ball again, they were behind with less than a minute on the clock.

Oh you mean when they sent an all out blitz with 1 second left? Lol.

And in ‘11 you’re saying they ulmost beat us? Lmao

Yeah he’s a good qb but he also has a losing record against us. And their only bowl team ever in their history is being recognized against a team that stomped them that year. It’s fitting for ulmost.

There are years we wished we had someone that good. Time will tell if this is one of those years.

Hey, if you leave a safety, corner, or anyone really, Robinson (I think) doesn't trot into the end zone. That's what you get when you send all 11 on a blitz.

Also, Deuce on the tv broadcast saying "you take a knee." Love you, Deuce, but no.
