The coaching staff and players have their backs against the wall this week. We will see if there are improvements with discipline, offensive production, defensive adjustments, etc. going forward. If these characteristics do not change it will be a long season for the fans.
Was it an ugly loss? Was it an embarrassment on multiple levels? Will CMD be our coach the rest of the season? Will the staff and team continue to attempt to get better? Did Maggard frame the hire as a transition and not a rebuild? Do fans have the right to have extreme feelings ranging from turd polishing to CMD needs to go?
Yes is the answer to all.
The only unacceptable action would be for the team to quit on the staff, and I don’t see that happening. Surf the wave gentlemen. We’ve had great waves lately, this is just a period of small waves.
Geaux Cajuns!
Billy Napier needed ULM’s kicker to miss twice to win 2 different games, one of them put us in the championship game. Not sure when this ridiculous idea of losing to a conference team is a cause to get you fired. ULM has more P5 scalps than we do and a national title. If you are forced to play somebody every year, you will lose to them. It’s an asinine point of view.
