This staff needs to improve. Its not all on the players. BUT, i dont think its all on the staff either.

From where I could see, neither the players nor the coaches wanted a football game last night.

Play and coach like they did last night, and we’ll be chalking up an L in Monroe. And that is not an exaggeration.

First half, defense came up with two INTs inside Rice territory (not counting the Pick 6), and we come away with 0 points.

If we don’t make a bowl this year I will be part of that statistic of not renewing season tickets. I’d rather buy season tickets for a winning sport. Hello softball.

If we want to throw the ball, we will need to go back to the old way of playing football. Put 2 backs in the backfield and keep a TE in to pass block. Thats the only way our QB’s will have a chance to throw the ball with a clean pocket. We just dont have the OL to do what we want to do right now. We have gotten beat up front 3 weeks in a row.

I was sitting right behind our bench last night. Those players were just there. The only two players trying to fire up the team was sonny hazard and ziyon

I get what you are saying, and if you look through my post history here, I’m not one at all to make such comments. I’ve consistently been on the other end, especially since we ridded the program of the Hud locker room issues.

But last night was definitely something where it just seemed contagious. I kept waiting for it to be like E Michigan where we snap out of it, or even for us to squeak out of there like we did last season vs Nicholls, but nothing ever showed to turn that tide.

Y’all are ridiculous. Napier left us a team that he’d even have trouble winning with. He rode his super seniors and 4 year QB off into the sunset and now we have to rebuild a bit. If y’all don’t think Mike can do it, you’re wrong.

I'm not gonna hit panic mode yet. ULM this coming weekend will be test. They always play us tough but losing to them would be disastrous. Guess we ll see the character of this team and coaches soon enough

Everything wrong with the offense starts with the OL. It affects the play calling, the QB play and the RB play.

But, you’re right. Smith is not a starting RB. He’s a change of pace guy. He can be very effective at that. The problem is there is no starting RB on the roster.

Bottom line, it’s a train wreck.
