    He's right, it does snow or it gets cold enough at night on the mountains around Boone in early November. Late October to make snow as well...i know, have been stuck more than once in snow taking 71 back to App..App Daughter too

    So Boone gets powder snow to ski before Colorado and New Mexico? Never would have thunk it.

    I don't know about the slopes around Boone, but my sister once skied in late October in Colorado because this resort could make their own snow.

    Conditions need to be right.

    I said they make snow if it's cold enough in late October at night, then they open for snow tubing...
