i like the first post in this thread precisely because it looked like the one from the 50s. turbines second suggestion is not too bad but i still like the flag and hat gator better

Here is an interesting .pdf of most used mascots and colors across the college landscape and highschool landscape.

Red and white is super popular. Vermilion is a red but unique amongst reds. (ps not on the list)

    It's worth the investment
I got in the Cayenne suit one time and walked around campus. Completely disgusting.

Here's a couple of pictures a friend made up after this last weekend. I like the idea of them having the white shrimp boots (Delcambre reebox)

Yeah having the luxury of drawing various garb setups is a luxury.

In addition the long snout, various dress up modes was another of the Cajun Chickens secret weapons.

Absolutely no yellow/orange. That is how we get crap like this.

you could do like USM does and the person who wears the mascot suit is kept secret until they graduate and then they walk down the isle in the eagle's feet

I think this is 100% better. It's much more current and has some bite. Have to agree with Melrock. Just get rid of the orange.

I think the orange was meant as a reference to Cayenne and the tail spikes could be made as flames as well

We think it solves plenty of our mascot problems. Classic, Cypress Lake ode, retro outfit, UL shirt, Louisiana flag. No worries about offending anyone with a Cajun Man. No generic look. No animal to maintain. Curious of how y'all think about this.
I love the concept make it happen details can be ironed out along the way.
