If the local television stations get all moist over FIL, why not Cajun Football? That includes gear. I was "gifted" things with the extra L or Lafayette on it. Burn it at tailgate, preferably next to the AA set up. Yeah, that is out the box, but a strong statement.

    2. Fans. Especially students. Let them take over west side mid field seating. I remember sweating over there decades ago, let them get some air. They are tomorrow fans with disposable income. But clean up the message/music. Was in a discussion with other men regarding what we expose our children to. Guess what came up? Yup, CF music and one of the men brought up what his preteen children heard AND understood. Teachable moment. And he is a fan. Clean it up. It's guys like him that love our university, graduated from here, season ticket holder, and I would not blame him one bit if he never came back. If a 10 year old knows its wrong to say in public, well, there you go.

    3. Food truck is an excellent idea, but would need to be unique not to compete against existing vendors.
another grassroots promotional idea. everyone is invited to a big bonfire before a home game to BURN any piece of clothing with ul lafayette louisiana lafayette or ull on it. get herbie to sponsor and give away cheap beer. have the drum major out there to provide some entertainment. ice chests and old smokies welcome

Nick asks how the Cajuns got ranked after beating Iowa State in 2020 when Marshall and App State can't move the needle in 2022?

What happened in August of 2020 is USA Today re-ranked the Top 25 with just the schools that were playing football that fall and UL was in.

After upsetting ranked Iowa State on the road 31-14 in its 2020 season opener UL was ranked No. 21 in the Amway Coaches Top 25 Poll.

Regarding TVs at the Tigue. Definitely should be on. When we make games in Austin we go to the Texas Exes facility pregame and they always have a few games on; either Big 12 or other national game.
Clothing. As mentioned, HUGE disappointment! I had to go online and bought a Peter Millar polo with Ragin Cajun logo. Frustrating that we have to go that route for gear!

I been saying it since the renovation discussion they need to do something in the NEZ. Glad they mention the festival idea as well.Have ffood trucks and vendors inside the stadium. Have a gumbo festival before the game .

But this be my idea for the NEZ. Could have TV’s playing other games. Idk if that unethical.

Then the idea to make the 50 better on the visitor side even if they just put it on the visitor side

I definitely think soccer stadiums have been ahead of their time for sizing and amenities. College football stadiums will catch up soon when people realize these attendance trends are here to stay. Love the pics.

How hard would it be to put red chair back seats on the visitor side as well? Get rid of the bench seats, but it would have to have that over hang to.

We could just do it for the 50 yrd line section.

Need to take what works and incorporate it into our renovation

I remember a post years ago by resident engineering guru Helmut that said the visitor side was out of code and installing chairbacks would be impossible without demo'ing and redoing.

Not sure if bench-back railings would be feasible instead.

Because the endzone seats are better then the seats on the 50. I remember something like that to. It couldn’t be that much to put a back to all these bench seats if that is the case.

Now would that be the case if we did put an overhang on the visitor side ? Idk if it was out of code ?

I wouldn’t do one without the other.

I don't think an overhang on the visitor's side would help much with the orientation of the stadium in regard to sun positioning.

Sun will be overhead due south from noon until it eventually sets in the W behind the upper deck.
