To touch on the book store gear segment I have a story. Been living away for decades and went out of my way coming home from a job in TX to get some gear. Had hondos to spend and really wanted a Louisiana jersey (authentic preferably) so I went by the new store on Johnson St. Disappointed is an under statement. I still spend almost $500 but the only sizes of jerseys (not even close to authentic game gear) was sized xxxl or xxxs. I did buy a hat but prefer a sleek hat (had to get a trucker style) only to not get a ULLLL hat. Only thing that was cool and Louisiana was socks THAT NONONE CAN SEE ON MY BODY!!!!
Come on whoever is in charge of this and gear online is crap. The market is there to buy gear, it’s the most scewed supply and demand I’ve ever seen. I played golf today with a Texas Tech fan today and was so jealous of the quality of this polo and hat. I know, Texas Tech fan, but he paid!
I have a hot wheels UL flag my wife bought me (poor thing didn’t know) and I’d like to replace it but damn, get some ____ to sell me! I fly my flag and wear all the red I can up here north of the Mason Dixon but I need some help. Come on Dr M, make that ____ happen, every time I gear up people ask me about the Cajuns and so many comments about our success. Let your ambassadors ambassador.
Hell, let me have the licensing and I’ll start a business. I know there are some serious entrepreneurs in Lafayette. If UL can’t handle the work let us do it.
I can answer this question. It's very obvious to me. But no matter how many times I answer it & no matter how many times it's the right answer, the wrong answer will still be the choice of the university. Quit hiring outsiders who are just looking to make a name for themselves & hire locals who will care & who know they will have to account for themselves. Until this is done none of these great ideas will ever get off the ground floor. The same crap will keep getting done the same way over & over & over.
UL has a history of inserting academian type indiviuals into jobs better suited to sports fans.
Bought a
“Louisiana”
“Ragin Cajuns”
Shirt at Walmart today.
Red shirt and the lettering was stacked. Top half of letters black bottom half white. Not a common font but looked good. Also material was under armour style.
this is why its been said over and over that we got lucky with maggard. but no one can deny this program has been used as a stepping stone by many in administrator positions since he has been hired. rcaf is in shambles and it was not in great shape to begin with. hire someone with local ties someone who cares and someone who will stay long enough to build the infrastructure not just build their own resume
Can Ragin’ Review get Dr. Maggard and folks from the Alumni Association as guests to discuss these game day experience solutions?
