Louisiana should never ever ever keep a slot open for FCS schools unless the happen to be an FCS school.

Louisiana should keep a slot open for in state schools which includes FCS, LSU, Tulane and Tech. That should make for a 9 year rotation.

Only problem would be losing a guaranteed home game every year, which we would need if we go to multiple P5s per year.

1 In-Sate school that UL travels to but does not travel to UL
2 In State schools that travel to and host UL.

Iowa State was an emergency pandemic game.

Louisiana needs to schedule many more P5 schools to maximize value to the school paying an appearance fee.

There is a reason FCS schools get $450 thousand and most G5 schools get $1.5 million and some get $3 million.
