I would have it all set up on Friday, have something like Downtown Alive that night and have a big pep rally that Friday Night.

I have no desire to tailgate that way. There is nothing wrong with the way we tailgate.

How you tailgate ? People who have spots keep there spots that doesn’t change

This would be for the people who are just coming to the game who want to hang out .

I sincerely appreciate your passion & proposed ideas.

Another flaw with your concept: next thing you know Ice chests and own food won’t be allowed. Bc the vendors won’t be making any money when everyone can bring cheaper water & beer in an ice chest.

Edit: semi ignore my comments. Seeing that you added that people can still tailgate on their own.

People already don’t bring ice chest. People who have tailgating spots do because they have parking spots in Cajun Field. If you are parking across the street, you are not bringing ice chest because first there is no tailgating unless you have a spot, you can go to the baseball stadium or the stage, and second thing is 99% of people won’t bring it because they have to walk back to there car to bring the ice chest back before they go in the game

They kinda do that with the Alumni Association tailgate tent, music under the oak, and the Tigue.

There's just not much promotion of it besides word of mouth and if you watch the UL twitter space like a hawk. Maybe radio spots (don't listen to music radio anymore) and local TV, but only if the promoting on TV is done in the morning (because I watch local news at night and never really see anyone from the Uni speaking with Jamarcus Fitzpatrick).

Can anyone post here what's available at the Tigue fan tailgate spot? Is it just a spot to hang? Or do they have food/drinks?

Years ago, I remember a post game concert under a massive tent bw tennis & baseball.

Perhaps they add a large tent by the ok tree with beer vendors and food vendors, where people without spots can get out of the sun.

At the moment, you either stand in the shade of tree (behind the bandstand) or on the hill behind the stadium.

This gives drink options and place to not roast in the sun.

They have food and drinks at the baseball stadium. We just need to expand the idea, and make it bigger and better.

Another idea when thinking about professional games:

We have zero fan interaction during game. No kiss cam, trivia, dance cam, nothing.

Would it be easy to link a camera to the big screen to have cameraman & lovely female representative roaming the stadiums during timeouts to interact with fans???
