There are both types, but the lion’s share by certain known posters are about me. You know I love a spirited discussion about sports, or so much one about me . . .

Pay a great salary plus commissions and hire a staff. No ceiling on his income as UL only benefits from the donations he brings in. HUD was responsible for our facilities and attendance. He got over 50,000 for our first bowl game. He can hype our attendance. He is well known and well liked. Let Des coach and HUD fund raise. Not to mention he can be an added resource for our coaching staff, if asked. Why bring in some outsider who has to start all over building relationships? The past is the past. If we can't beat out a high school salary for Hud, what are we doing as a Division 1 school? We are not ULM or LA Tech for that matter with the lowest budgets in 1A.

Heck, no one knows if he is even interested in giving up coaching, moving back to Lafayette and taking a position like this. But, it is certainly worth exploring rather than writing this off.

We now have the academic credentials major conferences are looking for. We are located in a very strategic area with the #2 team in a most competitive recruiting state. We are a football facility away from having some of the best overall facilities in the country. We are on the nation's longest winning streak. Why do we always seem to fail to strike while the iron is hot?
We didn't have over 50,000 for the first bowl game.

So I ask, Do those posts "just about you" give you satisfaction or dismay?
    Wow.

He definitely didn't "study at LSU"...but I did appreciate that he called them "blue and gold" on the pod.

You need to turn your head around real quick then you could be a “hat on backward’s dude”

Here is another one only here to post about Vic . . .

It was a post "to" not "about" actually in response to.

It had so little substance it could not even stand in for an MRE.

Ok, I will play your game, please identify the all of the substance that post brought to the discussion without mentioning Vic or anything about Vic?

We had 33000 for the first bowl game in New Orleans (2011). Still impressive as few San Diego State fans attended. We had over 50000 in 2013 when we played Tulane.

    42,851 in 2011
48,828 in 2012 for an 11 am kick off
    54,728 against Tulane in 2013
Even 34,014 against Nevada in 14'
    35,061 in 16' against SMiss.

Those New Orleans bowl records may never be broken. Certainly not anything over 40.

Our fans have showed out in the past (both at home and at bowls.) They can do it again.

21,642 last year. A top 25 team and our best team to play in that bowl. That's the vexing part.

Listen, Cav-Vic, you are full of pot stirring garbage. You can literally click on my post history and see what a small percentage of my posts are even remotely related to you. But I know you won't, because that ruins your internal narrative.

All that said, I have not decided which way I will be wearing my hat to the Rice game...but if you agree to show up, I'll buy you a ticket and a beer. You in?
